Libra by Wolters Kluwer now integrates Stämpfli Verlag’s legal content. What this means: Swiss lawyers can access the commentaries, handbooks, yearbooks and specialist journals that shape their daily work — not as a separate reference library, but as an integrated part of their research, drafting and review workflows.
Why source quality is the core
AI is only as good as its sources. In the legal context, that means: an answer without a citable foundation is not an answer. Libra provides results with transparent source references — and those references must be based on content lawyers trust.
Stämpfli Verlag represents exactly that: decades of legal editorial work focused on the Swiss market. Berner Kommentare, Stämpfli hand commentaries, legal textbooks — works regarded as standard in Swiss law firms, courts and companies. That content is now available in Libra. Directly accessible in chat, in research, in review — wherever a reliable source is needed in the workflow.
What’s available
At launch, the integration includes commentaries, handbooks, yearbooks and selected specialist journals from Stämpfli Verlag. In addition, Libra already includes key primary sources at federal and cantonal level: federal law via FedLex, Swiss case law, and the commercial register via Zefix.
Partner voices
“What sets Libra apart from generic AI solutions is trustworthy, expert-generated content. Our partnership with Stämpfli Verlag allows us to expand our content offering with one of Switzerland’s leading legal publishers — creating a depth of local expertise that is rare in the market. Swiss law thus becomes an integral part of the legal workflow” emphasises Viktor von Essen, CEO, Libra by Wolters Kluwer.
Dorothee Schneider, Managing Director, Stämpfli Verlag, adds:
“Legal content delivers its value where decisions are made — not on the shelf, but directly within the working process. With Libra by Wolters Kluwer, our content reaches legal professionals exactly where they need it: in research, drafting and review. We are delighted to work with Wolters Kluwer to set a new standard for digital legal work in Switzerland.”
A workspace that works with sources you know
Libra follows a European multi-publisher strategy: an AI workspace for legal workflows connected to leading legal content in each jurisdiction. In Germany, the partnership with publisher Dr. Otto Schmidt complements Wolters Kluwer content. In the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Eastern Europe, Libra is already established. With Stämpfli, Swiss legal content is now included for the first time. The principle remains the same: legal professionals work with sources they know and can cite — in one continuous, secure workflow. Libra provides the fully integrated environment: AI-powered research, document work, text analysis and collaboration — all on one platform.
