Marble columns to symbolize law’s antiquity.
Leather to symbolize prestige. Elite sport.
Household names.
Symbols that say trust us.

It’s not dishonest exactly.
It just doesn’t feel true.

When we embarked on this project, there was a particular tension we wanted to explore.

Lawyers are professional certainty-makers: paid to give confident answers in an environment that is structurally adversarial, with the other side trying to prove you wrong.

Yet, maybe more so than ever before, lawyers operate in a world that’s becoming harder to read — politically, informationally and technologically. When you throw AI hallucinations into the mix, that only adds to the noise.


With that backdrop, we asked the question:


What does it look like when real lawyers, doing real legal work, can still show up with the same confidence they’ve always had?
